Dyeing and Canvas Painting within Saturday Activities
Every subject includes different activities that provide practical knowledge to each student and these activities are different from other regular classes done on weekdays. For example, science students do different types of practical in lab mostly on the Saturday. In the same way, fashion and interior field includes so many activities. There is no fixed number of activities in the fashion and interior field. The organization of activities only depends on the experience and skill of faculties. The INSD Bhilai has such faculties who have rich experience of the various activities. In the past Saturday, the fashion and Interior students of the INSD Bhilai learned Dyeing, Canvas Painting, and other styles of printing textiles, according to their field under the guidance of the faculties.
The fashion filed has no meaning without using textile field. The fashion-designing students learned Dyeing along withn some types of textiles printing in the textile materials. Dyeing changes the color of any febric to a permanent color. It can be apply on the textile materials such as yarns, fibers, and others. It uses dyes for the dyeing process, which is available in different forms like crystals, powders, liquid dispersions, etc. The students also learned the Bandhani printing, Laheriya printing, and the Knotting Coloring. These printings are the traditional method of printing which remains popular every time as it uses the vibrant colors, ties, and swirls.
The interior-designing students learned the canvas painting and they made different beautiful canvas painting on natural themes. Earlier, heavy-woven fabric is used as Canvas but modern canvas is made using linen or cotton. Canvas used as the painting surface and fashion objects such as handbags. Canvas works as traditional support for doing canvas painting. Students used the oil and fabric paints for the canvas painting.
