Saturday is the day of activities in any field whether they are education, business, or other fields. Saturday activities help the students or anyone to increase their practical skill. In other days, they learn knowledge from the books but in the Saturday, the students do everything themselves that improves the practical experience. Hence, to improve the practical knowledge and experience of both fashion and Interior students the INSD Bhilai conducted different trendy activities for them in last two Saturdays.

Fashion and Interior designing field needs the latest trends. Both fields use numerous types of raw things. So finding what the current trends in the market are, they need to do the market survey regularly. INSD Bhilai took the fashion and Interior students for their market survey. A market survey does not mean to see the things and return. In reality, they reside in the shop; observe the choices and demands of the people.

The fashion-designing students visited the cloth shop for understanding the different types of cloth materials. The interior-designing students visited the marble shop for their market survey. They looked all around the shop, saw every type of fabric, observe small things, and much more under the guidance of their faculties.

Along with the market survey, competitions also held fashion and Interior students at INSD Bhilai campus under Saturday activities. The interior-designing students learned how to use the shilpkar for decoration within any place. Now, to encourage them, the INSD Bhilai kept the competition to make Nameplates using the shilpkar. Students effectively implemented their learning by designing beautiful nameplates.

To encourage the Garba festivals, the INSD Bhilai kept the dummy draping competition to design dummies with indo-western themes for fashion-designing students. Fashion-designing students need to decorate the dummies according to given theme. Student planned with their partners one day before to get position in top three.
