The zipper is a basic element that is used in the fashion designing for making different things like garments, ornaments, accessories, bags, and others. In the last two Saturdays, INSD Bhilai organized “Hair accessories workshop and competitions” using Zipper. Zipper contains a series of hooks and eyes that comes in a pair where each pair needs a slider. Zippers are available in distinct colours, styles, forms, and designs. It is also easily available in anywhere and with very low cost. Using zipper becomes trendy in the fashion fields. At first Saturday activities, Sandeep Kaur Mam conducted the workshop on the “zipper” and provided the guidance of using a zipper for making the “Hair accessories” and other ornaments. They guided the students to use different other elements like a pearl, stones, and other decorative elements for making the accessories and earrings. Everyone who likes fashion and trendy things daily at inexpensive price then that can utilize such elements and its accessories.

Now on the last Saturday, the INSD Bhilai held competition for the fashion designing students to test about what learned in their past Saturday activity. Students designed beautiful “Hair accessories” that includes “Hair bands”, “Rubberbands”, “Clips”, “Bakkles”. Along with these accessories, students also designed the neck pendants, rings, earrings, bracelets using the zipper. This competition was the individual competition and every fashion designing student needs to design diverse types of accessories.
